The Scourge of Black History Month

Black history month cannot be done soon enough.  Just one more example of the cancel-culture racism this country embraces as "enlightened," "woke." Can you imagine a "white history month"? My last job before retirement was with Washington State government and I often read pending bills (not as my job but as a matter of interest.) I recall a black girl testifying before the Washington State legislature on a bill that would allow "people of color" to use state grants to attend college out of state.  Her actual words were, "I want to learn from someone who looks like me."  Is there anyone with an IQ above room temperature who cannot imagine if a white student said that?

I preface my next comment to disarm black racists and their sympathizers.  As a personal boycott I turn off any commercial or TV feature that features blacks, especially if blacks only (don't forget the pleading from the black girl).  Anyone else recall how Al Sharpton (who once in video encouraged blacks to kill white people) monitored and published the "underrepresentation" of blacks in broadcast TV and commercials?  Can you guess why you do not hear his ignorant rhetoric now?  Good guess.  Blacks are now overrepresented on TV and in commercials, you know, to atone for our horrid racist past.  So, if Honda wants to sell me a car, I want white people driving the car...you know, people who look like me.

I owe nobody anything; I am a libertarian and believe I have free rein to follow my interests as long as I don't hurt others.  I did not sign a contract that bows to the black racists or blacks as victims.  "White privilege"? My white privilege was a father (often absent in black homes) who told me, "I want you to do two things and I will ask nothing of you in the future.  First, I want you to enlist for a tour in the military.  Second I want you to get a college degree, in any discipline."  I did both of those things and in fact he never did ask anything else of me.  Can a black kid follow those instructions?  Of course.  The service matured me and the GI bill (and a working wife) helped me get a college degree (in business administration).  These same opportunities are available to black kids, EXCEPT that their incarceration in inner-city schools will limit their education to the point where many colleges will not accept them.

Bottom line is, don't blame me for the epic failures of blacks to become successful members of society; blame white liberals, including republicans (who voted to allow that black girl to attend school out of state on a Washington State grant).  It is the republicans who in partnership with the democrats are giving away our freedoms and personal responsibility.

This country is toast.  The ostriches with their heads in the sand don't accept that yet.  To accept that would require action that makes them tremble with fear.  I can survive another of our racist "black history month" by not watching TV when black history month programming appears but it does deeply offend me.

Before you label me a "racist" make sure you look up the definition of "racism."
