No Appeasement and No Sacrificial Lambs

The single most important result of the investigation and prosecution (or not) of Trayvon Martin’s shooter, George Zimmerman, is not the verdict but rather upholding the integrity of the process. Most of the public, fed by the liberal media, will be told only the politically convenient truth of the Trayvon Martin shooting, IF the shooting is justified. If it is not the media will hold on to this story longer than it did the stories of Viet Nam, O.J. Simpson, Michael Jackson and now, Whitney Houston. Covering the riots resulting from a not guilty verdict is much more fun – and lucrative - than telling the full story.

That Attorney General Holder Eric Holder can be counted on to conduct an open and even investigation is as much of a possibility as pigs flying. That is the reason Sheila Jackon Lee, a notoriously victim-class black and Federal House Representative (D-Texas)wants Holder, the black racist, to investigate. However, between Zimmerman’s attorney and a more balanced attitude about justice in FL than we witness in D.C. or L.A. the chances are good that the shooter’s story will be told, certainly in the courtroom and likely as well on Fox news and the local and alternative media.

This case clearly is so racially charged and the reprehensible, bloodthirsty “leaders” of the black community are beating the war drums toward a very long and destructive summer. Farrakhan, Jackson and Sharpton, if “white,” would be arrested for inciting riot. A “guilty” verdict spoken against Mr. Zimmerman would do little to appease this Hitlerian group if not followed by a lynching (deliberate choice of words)and in any case must not be offered if not supported by evidence. Assuaging the black community - “exacting a pound of flesh” - must never be the goal of the process. We must NOT convict one soul in this country to buy racial peace. To do so is like trying to appease Hitler. It did not work then and it will not work now; there is no retribution that these power brokers will ever deem adequate lest they then have to retire, having finished their work here - and having lost all their power as a result.

The most important part of the process will be jury selection because if Zimmerman is found innocent the big cities are going to burn, again thanks to Al, Jesse and Louis with passive assent by Barack. If I were a member of the defense team, I would ask this question of every juror, under penalty of perjury and promising each juror I would come after him or her for perjury if there were any hint that s/he was dishonest answering my question: “If the evidence presented in this courtroom leads reasonably to an innocent verdict, will you render an innocent verdict, even under the cloud of potential widespread black violence”? That is weighty. And a very reasonable question since the first Rodney King jury members had to be afraid for their lives when the blacks rioted after the not guilty verdict. Notwithstanding the threat, were I a juror, my answer would be “yes” without hesitation. If the big cities burned, I would not hesitate to volunteer publicly that Barack, Louis, Al and Jesse get full credit for the destruction.

Oh, Barack, if you thought white police officers in New Haven, CT were “acting stupidly” following all process while arresting a black professor, what do you think of a poster the New Black Panthers are distributing saying they want Zimmerman “dead or alive”? Does that not bother you…at all?

Sandra Fluke, Are You Kidding Me?

Lest my readership of, say, ten, become bored with my rants, I do not post often but on the heels of my letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu I can’t stop myself from telling you of a current topic high on the disgusto-meter.

Sandra Fluke is a student at Georgetown University who believes that she should have all the sex she wants and I should pay for it…whether or not I am one of the lucky(?) many who tries to satisfy her appetite. Georgetown University, a Jesuit school, refuses to cover birth control in the medical insurance program that university offers to students. Absolutely in their rights despite what you tyrants think, Nancy (Botox) Pelosi and Barack (His Highness) Obama. The Left wanted a Federal House hearing on this issue, the Republicans would not conduct the hearing so Botox held her own hearing with plenty of cameras drooling over the opportunity for sleazy vilificaton of the Christian Right.

Fluke made her case that in order for her to have all the sex she wants, the university must be forced to pay for her birth control, whether or not it violates the institution’s religious beliefs. I have to assume that Fluke knows she could insist that her troupe bring condoms, she could supply them, or she could attend another university. In a country that still “gives permission” for its citizens to make choices, there are no alternatives to “free” birth control that are suitable to her? Clearly she is well known on the campus since a quote from the University president suggests he knows her personally (likely not sexually). Whether or not she wears many causes does not matter EXCEPT that it paints her less of a victim when the conservative press takes her to task.

So, we have staged public “dialogue” between a disgraceful legislator, Botox, and a prepared and willing victim of the religious right. Rush Limbaugh called her a “slut.” (LIMBAUGH HAS SINCE APOLOGIZED FOR THAT CHARACTERIZATION) I avoid that word since it is a derogatory term for a woman who loves sex with multiple partners and this guy sees nothing wrong with that. On the other hand she is NOT a victim of a vicious right-wing press. In fact, she is not a victim of anything. Convention in politics is that once you expose yourself as a public personality you lose much of your right to go after hostile people for slander or libel – or to act the victim - and if she did not present herself as a representative of some fraction of the public I would eat my hat. I say “would” because I don’t own a hat.

His Highness called her personally (I would not have accepted the call from His Highness and nor would I have had a beer with His Highness were I the “behaving badly” New Haven police officer of past news) and actually asked her, get this, “Are you okay”? Are you kidding me? First off, I don’t care if she is “okay” and while His Highness stated publicly that we must learn and practice civil discourse, look at what happened to Joe The Plumber who spoke out against Obama at a carefully if flawed arranged town hall meeting. The IRS had coffee with him (that is a euphemism); his background was investigated by the FBI. Conservatives, for their utterances, are called “baby killers” and claimed to hope that old people can learn to eat dog food. Yet this bleeding heart activist is supposed to take a public stand on a controversial issue in a bath of respect and admiration for her courage?

Yeah, right.

I don’t normally listen to Rush; he is an icon but I don’t think he is very bright. Nevertheless while he might have used a word other than “slut” I have no problem at all with him taking her, Botox and His Highness to task over this charade.

Buy your own damn birth control. If you can afford a $50,000 per year law degree education, you can afford a few hundred dollars a year in condoms…or demand that your troupe provide their own. Or if you choose not to prevent pregnancy, preferring to kill the fetus later on, I can find the address of the Planned Parenthood near you.

Go Get 'Em, Ben

Dear Prime Minister Netanyahu:

Despite the public musings of our (but not my) evil president, Barack Obama, there is a great deal of support for you in the United States of America. My understanding of the long history of the Middle East and the Jewish presence there may be above average but is still severely lacking. It no longer matters whether or not you “belong” in that part of the world, whether or not you “stole” the land or that your faith and culture are starkly different from the border countries, none of which have the standard of living or personal freedoms your country enjoys. You have, in my opinion, an unmitigated right to defend yourself from real terror and a plausible villainous threat of annihilation. I don’t care what Obama thinks or the other “civilized” countries think. The dismissive attitude of Europe and the U.S. remind me of the policies of appeasement toward Hitler. I did not live in that era (I was born in 1946) but do understand much of that history since history around WWII is the only history I ever enjoyed exploring. Apparently allowing Israel to be destroyed is a small price to pay for Muslim peace, but for what grievances, I do not understand. We do know Obama is a strong supporter of Muslim and I think, radical Islam.

The good news to me, as man who believes in self-defense, both personally and as a nation, is that you will do what you need to do to keep yourselves alive. Our late president Reagan had it right when he followed the policy that only strength would protect us. When we or your country “negotiate” with or appease the fanatics in the Middle East, we deceive ourselves. These dangerous people” place no value on life (though it is interesting that bin Laden did not seem to be in much of a hurry to meet his assigned virgins). As you know, negotiation only gives these evil people more time to prepare a more serious attach against your country.

I am not optimistic that the Middle East will ever be a peaceful place. I think Europe for similar reasons is not far behind and I am losing faith in the USA as well. I don’t need to “hope” that you will launch a drive designed to protect yourself; I know you will; despite the inevitable public outcry, I reiterate that many people here believe that is what you have to do and will not be critical of you. I am sorry only that the people of Jewish faith in the USA are not more outspoken about your risks.

And, your announcement that you will NOT notify the USA in advance of a pre-emptive strike is prudent. “Good luck” is cliché but that is the best I can do.
